About the course

Join textile artist Deborah Manson to learn how to transform something old, undervalued or ordinary into something new and unique. We will use the magical natural blue dye indigo, and the ancient Japanese folding and binding technique ‘Shibori’ which creates beautiful patterns on cloth. Deborah will show you how to make a simple indigo dye vat and a variety of different shibori patterns. Bring along something that you would like to transform, such as lightly coloured t-shirts, shirts, tote bags , pairs of socks, undies or homewares and see the magic unfold. Tutor: Deborah Manson
