With the generous support from Sussex Community Foundation we have just completed the first block of our free weekly Arts and Craft workshops for adults. Working in partnership with Brighton and Hove libraries we delivered regular weekly workshops during June and July at Whitehawk Library and drop-in workshops as part of Refugee week in Hove, Whitehawk and Jubilee Libraries. These free workshops were designed to be accessible to everybody and especially aimed at folks who would otherwise not be able to afford access to creative courses.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be sharing some of the work created at each of the workshops along with a few comments from our wonderful participants.

Blockprinting
Using our collection of handmade blocks, participants created their own designs to create hand printed tea towels using different coloured inks.
“This block printing workshop was great with excellent tutoring and support. It was a fun activity especially for adults, accessible for me as it was free, with materials provided. Thank you”
“The most wonderful morning I’ve had in a long time - thank you so, so much! Cath was a brilliant instructor - so patient and kind. The printing was loads of fun and really well organised. I couldn’t possibly have done this if it weren’t free as I have a very low income (benefits only) now that I’m off sick. Please run some more of these! Everyone here had a fantastic time and it was lovely to do it in such a great space. Thank you :-)”
“Lovely, relaxing and have something to take home. The workshops are lovely. Thank you”
