Monday October 10th was World Mental Health day. We were invited by Jubilee Library to run two free drop-in workshops to raise awareness of the importance of taking care of our mental health by taking time out to engage with different activities. We chose to run a positive printmaking session were participants could use our collection of letter and picture blocks to create printed postcards with a positive message. Participants could print two postcards, one to send to a friend or neighbour who might be going through a difficult time to let them know that they are not alone and the other to keep, as a positive message to themselves. The workshop was a real success with a full table throughout the morning session with many people commenting on how relaxed and enjoyable the activity was. See below for just a few of the many thoughtful postcards created. Thank you to Jubilee Library for inviting us, Alex Adams for being a great assistant and to all the participants who came along, it was lovely to share your creative companionship throughout the day.
