About the course

Use spontaneous techniques for monoprinting through the screen to create one-off images and learn to build up prints in layers. Explore direct painterly mark making, use screen inks, watercolours and other water soluble materials, experiment with the dynamics of transparent and opaque inks through layering and overprinting. Combine with paper and photo exposed stencils, found materials such as leaves, thread and mesh to further investigate freeform techniques and compositions. A perfect course for anyone new to printmaking, painters looking to try out screen printing or for printmakers looking to loosen up their style. All skill levels welcome and encouraged. Materials included. Tutor: Cath Bristow
