About the course

* Please note, this course is only suitable for students who already have some experience of screen printing. Ideal for people who have already done our five-week screen on paper course or who have screen printed before elsewhere. This four-session course is a chance for intermediate to experienced screen printers to explore the creative aspects of making a screen print. We will be investigating how formal elements (colour, tone, marks, composition) work together to create a successful image. During the course students will: Look at how to build up an image in layers Explore composition and use of colour and tone Experiment with creating different textures and marks in a photo-stencil Make and print paper stencils and photo-stencils Work on their own self-directed screen print Students are encouraged to bring along sketchbooks, drawings or photographs and to develop their own ideas. Cancellation Policy

Course cancellations need to be made 14 days in advance via email for a refund and will be subject to a £10 administration fee. Cancellations after this period will be subject to an administration charge of 50% of the course fee. However students can opt to transfer their booking to a future course, subject to availability. If you cannot attend a course but have a friend or colleague that can take your place instead then there will be no admin fee for transferring the place.
